In this project we developed an automation and integration layer transforming a 3rd party product (Axway API Management solution) into a functioning and robust cloud-based service.

The service is now fully integrated into our client's technical and governance landscape.

We paid special attention to self-service capabilities that reduced the load on the platform team. The automation layer provided engineers with integration into their CI/CD pipelines with convenient command line and REST interfaces. In addition, we developed a service portal simplifying service consumption.

Implementing the client's vision into reality considering the technical, organizational, and cultural context was the main challenge.

Sitecraft had to build up the expertise around a very specific tech stack (Axway) which was completely new to us, as well as apply our know-how in the areas of Infrastructure as a Code and frontend development.
